Jillian Talks About Interstitial Cystitis on the Herbal Womb Wisdom Podcast

I had the huge honor of being a guest on The Herbal Womb Wisdom podcast with Kay'aleya Hunnybee.

One thing I really loved about speaking with Kay'aleya was her relaxed and supportive interview style. This conversation reminded me of how much I enjoyed working with Kay'aleya in the past, when she was a graduate student and I was her clinical supervisor.

One highlight for me was talking about how conditions can sometimes be very complex, while solutions can sometimes be quite simple, such as removing an irritating food from the diet. Not always easy, but simple. This is one reason why some people find it helpful to work with a practitioner. It isn't always that we need help in knowing what to do, but sometimes we need support in actually doing it.

Another thing we discussed was how our symptoms can also be our teachers. I shared about how my own bladder acts as an alarm bell to alert me to when things are going out of balance, and how many of my clients learn to listen to their bodies in the same way.

If you are looking for a deeper understanding of what Interstitial Cystitis / Bladder Pain Syndrome is, as well as information about how herbs can be supportive for this condition, you'll find that in this conversation too.

You can listen to our podcast conversation here: Interstitial cystitis? Herbs, nutrition & clinical wisdom on this often misdiagnosed bladder pain condition. It is available on Apple, Spotify, Google Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts - just search episode 127, and I hope you enjoy.

About me

My name is Jillian Bar-av and I am a Registered Herbalist and Licensed Nutritionist. I specialize in supporting people who have complex urinary tract conditions, such as Interstitial Cystitis, with a comprehensive holistic approach that helps people to increase their quality of life. I’ve seen how healing herbs can be for the urinary system and how much they can help people to feel well again. Working with herbs is not only deeply healing, but part of my philosophy that it takes healthy people to create a healthy planet, and I want to make a difference for both.
